 Absolute reference

An address or pointer that does not change. For example, in a spreadsheet, a cell with an absolute reference does not change even if copied elsewhere. Contrast with relative reference.


 Relative reference

An address or pointer that changes when the target item is moved or the relationship to it has changed. For example, in a spreadsheet, a cell with a relative reference changes its formula when copied elsewhere. Contrast with absolute reference.


Arpanet
The ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network network, and the predecessor of the global ) created by ARPA of the United States Department of Defense during the Cold War, was the world's first operational packet switching Internet.
 
 
 
 
Browser

A browser is a software program that lets you explore the World Wide Web to find text, graphics, sound, movies, games, chats and more.
A browser helps you link to pages on websites around the world. To find a website, type in a URL (web address) or click a link or a button in the toolbar.
 
 
Disk drive
 
A part of the computer that operates the disks that store information.
Disk drives are called "storage devices" because they store information on portable or permanent disks (e.g., floppy disks, hard disks and Zip disks). A disk drive spins the disk around at high speeds as it reads and writes data on the disk.
